The Faculty of Theology welcomes faculty and students from diverse ecclesial communities. It offers programs at the undergraduate, Master’s, and doctoral levels for people preparing for a variety of ministries in the service of the Church and society.

• Commits strongly to the advancement of excellence in all aspects of faculty life: teaching, research, service of the church and academy, and outreach to the wider community.
• Plays an active role in recruiting and retaining the finest professors, supporting their professional development, particularly through annual reviews, and acts as a mentor in their career progress.
• Actively promotes academic programs and is proactive in new initiatives in this regard;
• Makes himself/herself available, and remains attentive to changing needs and expectations of both faculty and students.
• Prepares and implements the faculty’ strategic plan.
• Manages efficiently resources allocated to the faculty. Takes necessary and sometimes difficult decisions to achieve the goals of the faculty.

• Fluent in French and English.
• Ph.D. or its equivalent in theology or a related field; eligibility for hiring at the rank of associate or full professor.
• Strong record of teaching and research.
• Proven administrative experience.
• Innovative and visionary leadership to build, shape, and lead programs that embrace best practices and emerging directions in theological education.
• Demonstrates collegiality and ability to network with other institutions of higher education in theology.

The appointment is for a three-year renewable term, commencing July 1, 2019. Tenure could be granted after two years of service.
