Europe: The Rectors of Catholic Universities commit themselves

Institut Catholique de Paris, May 3rd, 2019

In the run-up to the European elections, the Rectors of the Catholic Universities of Europe have co-signed a joint declaration on Europe.
Beyond mobilising young Europeans around the challenges of the upcoming European elections, the Rectors reiterated their attachment to Europe and the close links that unite Catholic universities with each other for the future of young people.
By reaffirming their attachment of Catholic universities to Europe and the need for a common effort for the development of all, the Rectors undertake to continue to train women and men of excellence, free and strong, capable of encouraging research, technology and science towards new frontiers, while always placing themselves at the service of individuals and concrete communities, with a view to equitable and sustainable development.
