Montse graduated from University of Barcelona and University College London. After a professional internship at the Council of Europe, she is awarded a scholarship by La Caixa and the French Ministry to pursue studies on international co-operation at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. In 2003 she joins the Centre for Coordination of Research of the International Federation of Catholic Universities. While working, she obtains a postgraduate degree in project management, a master’s degree in social sciences and a master’s degree in international relations.
Montse is the Project chief of the Centre for Coordination of Research, with emphasis on development issues from Southern countries in the scientific and education field. Among her responsibilities, she coordinates and manages the whole of the Centre projects, organizes meetings, conferences, training, workshops, and represents the institution in external events; she also prepares and supervises varied materials, and implements the Centre information and communication strategy, including liaising and building partnerships with all the stakeholders. Additionally, she is currently doing a Ph.D. focused on international scientific co-operation with Southern countries.
