EUROPEAN MEETING. Towards an Inclusive Culture and Pedagogy

The Centre for International Research and Support to Decision-Making (CIRDA) of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU) together with the Episcopal Sub-commission of Universities of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE) and the Excellence Campus “Capacitas” from Universidad Católica de Valencia, organizes a EUROPEAN MEETING within the framework of the International Support Project entitled “Towards an inclusive culture and pedagogy” focused on the Inclusion of Disabled Students within Catholic Universities, to be held at Universidad Católica de Valencia, Valencia, Spain, on 12th-14th December 2016.

This project, which is fully international, will cover Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. It has already been developed in the Latin American region, where the institutions’ needs and interests were identified and various training sessions as well as awareness-raising activities were conducted, together with support to the preparation of an Institutional Plan of Inclusion in each university. Moreover, an International Observatory supported by Universidad Católica de Valencia will gather all the universities of the IFCU network around disability-related issues in the future. And a Comprehensive Guide accompanying institutions wishing to elaborate its own Plan of inclusion will be released in both Spanish and English soon.

We invite all European IFCU universities to participate in the Valencia meeting and to join this International Support Project. You can learn more about the project clicking on this LINK
