FUCE General Assembly Reiterates its Commitment to an Integral Ecology and the Environment

The tone for the conference was set by Dr. Fabien Revol of the Lyon Catholic University (UCLY) in his comments on Laudato Si, he said it was an Encyclical of Integral Theology. The following days saw several presentations mainly from our Catholic Universities of Europe dwell largely on the theme of the environment and Climate Change.

Prof. Jean-Pascal van Ypersele Vice-Chair of the IPCC (Intergovernmental panel on Climate Change) and Prof. at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) and Prof. John Sweeney from the Catholic University of Maynooth were explicit in their proposal that the Universities can educate and take several measures in contributing to awareness and practical actions on working towards a safer environment on the issue of Climate change.

The FUCE has some interesting ongoing projects
