Consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y maltrato infantil

Psychoactive Substance Use and Child Abuse
[ES] Esta investigación con madres adolescentes drogadictas busca establecer la relación existente entre el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y el maltrato que propinan a sus hijos. Se ha trabajado con una muestra de 50 adolescentes en edades comprendidas entre los 13 y 19 años. Los resultados indican la existencia de una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y el maltrato infantil, asimismo se observan correlaciones con los componentes de maltrato psicológico, por descuido y físico. Se hallaron diferencias entre el grupo de madres que tenían un hijo con las que tenían dos, tanto a nivel de consumo, como de maltrato. Del mismo modo, hay diferencias entre los grupos de edad en consumo y maltrato.

[EN] This research with drug-addicted teenage mothers seeks to establish the existent relationship between the use of psychoactive substances and the abuse towards their children. Researchers have worked with a sample of 50 teenagers aged between 13 and 19. The results reveal the existence of a statistically significant relation between psychoactive substance use and child abuse; likewise, they show correlations with the components of psychological abuse, by carelessness and by physical abuse. Differences were found between the group of mothers who had a child and those that had two, both at the level of consumption and abuse. Similarly, there are differences among age groups in terms of consumption and abuse.
